Minnie completed her Social Work degree at Newcastle University in 2004 and has
been working therapeutically with children, young people, adults and families over
the last 20 years in various organisations including Community Health Services and
Non- Government Organisations. Minnie is currently in private practise working
primarily with clients within the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
Minnie works with young people and adults struggling with anxiety, depression,
parenting and family/ relationship issues and grief and loss. Minnie works from a
trauma- informed perspective and knows the importance of having a trusted
relationship with a therapist where you are able to explore your struggles, your
difficult experiences and identify thought patterns and core beliefs. Minnie will work
with you in a collaborative and non- judgemental way towards creating more helpful
thought patterns and to find ways to prioritise your own self- worth and your own self-
care.
Minnie understands what its like working within the Deaf community, she shares your
passion and commitment to others. She also knows the importance of self-
compassion, slowing down and recognising the affect of your work on yourself. Take
the time to slow down, to ensure you take care of yourself so that you can continue
to do the best work that you can!
