Hi, I’m Jes. I’m a qualified and ACA-registered counsellor and the founder of Journey with Jes. I offer online counselling across the globe for adults, teens and couples, with a particular focus on relationships and couples counselling, women’s mental health, ADHD and neurodivergence, anxiety and depression, and living with chronic illness or disability.
Counselling with me is relaxed, collaborative and human. You don’t need to turn up with the right words or have everything figured out. Cry, laugh, bring your snacks, turn up in your pyjamas, there’s no expectation to perform. Some days we might go deep; other days you might just need to untangle what’s happening right now and find a practical way forward.
I became a counsellor because I’ve always been deeply interested in people, what shapes us, why we respond the way we do, and what helps us feel genuinely understood. My own lived experiences with ADHD and chronic illness have also shaped the way I work and reinforced how important it is to feel heard without having your experience minimised. I wanted to create a space where, for 60 minutes, you can finally just be completely yourself, supported, heard and free from expectations.

I’m a Hearing counsellor who isn’t an interpreter and doesn’t use Auslan, but I have experience working with interpreters and understand many of the unique challenges that come with your profession.
If you’d like to talk with someone outside the interpreting community who still understands the work you do and the pressures that can come with it, I would love to hold space for you.
I also welcome Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients and am very happy to work alongside an interpreter.

Couples counselling
$270 initial 90min.
$220 ongoing 60min.
