Hi, I’m Franklynne Crawford. I’ve been working as an Auslan-English interpreter for over nine years, primarily in education but also in community settings like medical appointments, workplaces, workshops, theatre, and concerts. I’m especially passionate about educational interpreting and really value the important role Deaf mentors play in helping interpreters grow both linguistically and ethically.
Before becoming an interpreter, I spent 20 years working in beauty therapy—doing everything from makeup and nails to massage and skincare. That background gives me a unique edge when it comes to interpreting at events. I love supporting other interpreters by sharing tips on makeup that reduces shine and reflection under stage lights or cameras.
