Hello, my name is Carol Brown.
I immigrated to Western Australia from England in 1974 and attended Mosman Park School for Deaf Children. I was born profoundly deaf and legally blind, with limited vision.
I am a Deafblind trainer and an Auslan user. I have a Deaf husband, and we enjoy being part of the Deaf community together.
I am 61 years old and have worked at Coles for 40 years and have also taught Auslan classes to both adults and children as a tutor.
In my spare time, I enjoy mosaics, swimming, walking, and traveling. We love spending time with our family and going to church on Sundays, where we enjoy meeting both old and new faces.
We love living in Perth — the beautiful weather and beaches make it a wonderful place to call home.
